Travis Head dodged three bullets, but it was Varun Chakaravarthy's mystery that ultimately did the job for Team India, as the southpaw was dismissed for 39 in the semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Head got an early reprieve in the first over when Mohammed Shami failed to latch on to a tough caught and bowled chance. In the second over from Pandya, he almost chipped one to the square leg.
In the fourth over, Head once again got a lucky break when Ravindra Jadeja almost hit the bull's eye. Head made a mistake when he went for a quick single after punching one to the left of Jadeja at backward point, but the Indian fielder was fast onto the ball and just missed his target.
Just when it seemed like Head was looking dangerous, Varun Chakravarthy was introduced into the attack, and it took the spinner just one ball to get rid of Head.
