Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza stated that he found more enjoyment in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) rather than the Indian Premier League (IPL) and also revealed that he had no disappointment over not being picked in the IPL 2025 auction.
In a conversation with Sports Tak, the 38-year-old was asked to compare the two prominent T20 leagues, and Raza responded by saying, "I enjoy PSL more. I have a lot more fun in PSL."
Addressing the question over the lack of bids for him in the IPL auction, he said, "Not at all. I have very strong beliefs and faith. What is meant to be will happen. If you perform well and there is a tournament that you don't get selected, then I go back and work hard again. I do not get disappointed."
Raza also shared insights on Zimbabwe cricket's long-term vision. He opened up on including fresh talent with an eye towards long-term success across all formats.
"We want to rebuild the team. We want to secure our future in all three formats. The senior guys will be there for a bit longer in ODIs and Tests, but in T20s we are trying to build a new team," Raza said as quoted by Times of India.
"For those coming into the changing room, there's still the right guidance available. Hopefully, our advice and guidance will help you kids cross that hurdle, and get to the World Cup if you ever have to play the qualifiers," he further added.
