Ravindra Jadeja is not enjoying the best of times for Team India right now. He scored just 135 runs and picked up 4 wickets n the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy which India lost. He also was the weak link in India's T20 World Cup 2024 win, while he was not included in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. There have now been reports that his future with the team might be in danger as the team is looking forward. Amidst this, the star all-rounder has made quite a cryptic post.
Ravindra Jadeja posted a picture of his Test jersey on his Instagram story. He also did not give any caption to this post. A sudden post of his Test jersey has raised many questions as to whether this might be a hint that he is retiring from the longest format of the game. Jadeja had already announced his retirement from T20Is after the T20 World Cup 2024 victory.

Ravindra Jadeja's Future Uncertain As Gautam Gambhir Wants To Move On

According to a report by The Times of India, Ravindra Jadeja's performance is under scrutiny, with the BCCI selection committee likely to take a call on his future soon, as they want to look beyond the veteran all-rounder.
Gautam Gambhir is reportedly creating a ''strong base" for the 2027 ODI World Cup and he is "keen to giving exposure to a few more identified players". Hence, his future, especially in the ODI format, looks pretty lean
"It's all about when the selectors decide the transition needs to kick in. They will discuss if they want to go with a safe option in (Ravindra) Jadeja or move on right now," a source close to the proceedings told the publication.
"Even in Test cricket, he has struggled to get going, though his bowling has been steady. There is an urge to move on from him, especially in the ODI format. It will be a tough call in the coming days," he added.
