For the first time since the 2023 Cricket World Cup final, India and Australia will face each other in an ODI game when the two sides take the field for the blockbuster semi-final clash of the 2025 Champions Trophy on Tuesday (March 4) at the Dubai International Stadium.
The marquee clash of cricket's biggest tournament saw Australia stun India, who came into the encounter on the back of an incredible 10-match winning run and looked set to lift the title on home soil for the third time. However, it was the Pat Cummins-led side that took the trophy home after a memorable display at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
With 472 days between the two matches, the two sides have seen a few changes in their teams. While India has retained the core of their squad from the one that suffered heartbreak on 19th November 2023, they are without the services of Jasprit Bumrah but are boosted by Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel's presence, who missed out due to injury.
On the other hand, Australia has been hit with a major injury and player unavailability crisis as Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, and Mitchell Marsh have all missed out while Marcus Stoinis retired from ODI cricket.
