Virat Kohli set to create world record
Virat Kohli is set to create a world record and he will become the first player to play 300 ODIs, 100 Tests and 100 T20Is. Virat has played 299 ODIs, 123 Tests and 125 T20Is. He made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in 2008. Virat cemented his spot in the playing XI in 2010 and there has been no looking back for him since then.
Virat joined India's leadership in 2012 and made his ODI captaincy debut in 2013. He replaced MS Dhoni as India's white-ball captain in January 2017. Virat made his Test debut against West Indies in 2011.
He was dropped after his maiden series and didn't get a chance upon his return. Virat's performance in the last two Australia Tests in 2011/12 saw him fix his spot in the playing XI. The fastest batsman to score 10000 ODI runs, Virat continues to flourish in ODIs and he recently became the fastest batsman to score 14000 runs. Virat has 14085 runs in 299 ODIs. His tally includes 51 centuries.
