India will play New Zealand after beating Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday. Virat Kohli’s 100 not out led India to a six-wicket win over their arch-rivals in the Group A clash.
The rivals met at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium despite Pakistan hosting the tournament, as India is playing its league games – and potential knockout matches – in the United Arab Emirates.
While Pakistan are staring at an early exit, India are topping the group with four points and has virtually secured its semifinal place. It will play New Zealand in its final league game.

India and New Zealand have only once met in the history of the ICC Champions Trophy. That encounter was in the 2000 edition's finale, played at the Gymkhana Club Ground in Nairobi.
India batted first and put up a competitive 264/6 in 50 overs, led by skipper Sourav Ganguly’s sublime 117 off 130 balls. In response, NZ chased down the target, with Chris Cairns leading the way with an unbeaten 102 off 113 balls. It also gave New Zealand their first-ever ICC title.
