Tennis legend Novak Djokovic was awestruck and left mouth open after Melbourne Stars' Marcus Stoinis was caught at the boundary during the Big Bash League (BBL) match against Melbourne Renegades. Facing Tom Rogers, Stoinis launched the delivery high in the air before being caught by Kane Richardson at the boundary. The ball went miles up in the air and got very close to the roof of the Docklands Stadium, however, it didn't touch the roof and Stoinis was declared out.
As soon as Stoinis was out caught, the cameras turned to Djokovic who looked stunned.
"Stoinis can't believe it, Novak Djokovic can't believe it," caller Mark Howard said on Fox Cricket.
On Djokovic's reaction, Adam Gilchrist said, "Novak (is) gobsmacked, can't believe it."
"That was so close to the roof, he's smacked that so high, a brilliant catch on the edge of the boundary," Michael Vaughan added.
Later, Djokovic was seen taking selfies with the fans. The Tennis great is all set to feature in the Australian Open on January 13. Djokovic will take on Nishesh Basavareddy in his tournament opener.

Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell put on a show and bailed Stars out of a miserable situation. The team was tottering at 55-5 before Maxwell turned on the beast mode and played a whirlwind innings of 90 in 52 balls to take Stars to a solid score of 165-10. The score proved too much for the Renegades who were rattled by Mark Steketee. The pacer was on fire and bagged five wickets for 17 runs in four overs. Joel Paris was also brilliant with the ball and picked three wickets for 13 runs as the Renegades were bowled out for 123. The win was the Stars' fourth win of the series and Renegades' fifth defeat.
