Phil Salt Creates History, Becomes 1st Player In World To Score 3 T20I Hundreds Against One Team (Source: AP)
England wicketkeeper-batter Phil Salt was in brutal form in the first T20I against West Indies and scored a magnificent 103 in 54 balls, including nine fours and six sixes, to lead visitors to an emphatic eight-wicket win. This was Salt's third T20I hundred and it helped him achieve a special feat in T20I cricket. Salt became the first player in the world to score three centuries against one team in T20Is. Salt's onslaught helped England chase down the target of 183 runs in just 16.5 overs and take a 1-0 lead in the series.
The destructive batter scored his maiden T20I century (109* from 56 balls) against the West Indies on December 16, 2023, in St George’s, and backed it up with his second T20I ton (119 from 57 balls) against the same team on December 19, 2023, in Tarouba.
Glenn Maxwell, Evin Lewis, UAE's Muhammad Waseem, and Serbia’s Leslie Dunbar along with Salt are the only players to have scored multiple hundreds against a team in T20Is. Maxwell and Lewis have scored two hundreds against India while Waseem notched up twin centuries against Ireland. Dunbar's hundreds came against Bulgaria.

Salt enjoys a stellar record against West Indies in T20Is. He is third on the list of most runs against West Indies, with 581 runs in 10 matches, with three hundreds. Rohit Sharma, who scored 693 runs tops the list of most runs vs West Indies in T20Is, while David Warner who made 662 runs is placed second.
